oh my god of arepo...

This game is so beautiful, and even though I was reading it for research I very quickly wanted to figure out a proper afternoon to sit down with a pile of old magazines and play it. The visual design is gorgeous and an immediate enticement to become engrossed in collage, and the guidance (imo) manages to strike a difficult balance seemingly effortlessly, feeling complete, supportive and inspiring without feeling constrictive, overwhelming or needlessly arbitrary. Both the experience and the physical artefact at the end are so appealing. The different Works you can devote yourself to during your character's stay at their sacred place read as fun little games in their own right - especially the Text Work, which absolutely could be its own enthralling game, while looking completely at home in this larger mechanical setting. I hope I'll find time to print and play this lovely game, I'm so glad I stumbled on it!

Incredibly well-made game. The layout and prompts are top-tier. Best creative experience I've had in a while.

A beautiful, thought provoking game. I'm currently playing through and enjoying how thoughtful each process and part of the gameflow is. I especially love the encouraging of craft and collage, it really adds another layer to the experience. This has quickly become one of my favourite indie games. <3

Wow!!! Fell in love with the game while reading the description, I can't wait to play it! Any chance there will be more of the community copies in the future? I can't afford it right now because it'd be too expensive for me in BRL. Thank you and have a sweet day <3

hello! just about to add a batch!

I love everything about this game and will be watching for community copies.  My classroom setup is currently sucking all my free funds and then some.  🤷🏼‍♀️

topped up :)

Oh, thank you! I got one.  🤩

I am looking forward to my first run through i’d this game ~ but i’m not sure what’s meant by Evocation section.

hello! on each Source page there is a section called 'Evocation', with a list of words/phrases.

I hope you enjoy, and thank you for picking up the game!

I finally sat down to play the game! this game gave me so many feels that I cried a little! (good tears!) this is a beautiful game. I can't wait to play the full game.

ahh, thank you! this really means a lot to hear <3

an update! I have finally sat down to play the full game--the zine version. wow. this game really dug deep. I really felt creative flow while playing. I enjoyed the four different game mechanics/mini-games (not sure what to call them). I went outside my comfort zone and actually sat down to make the collages--and I am SO glad I did. I feel more excited about making art than I have in years! what's especially neat about this game is that the Source theme really changes the dynamic of the sacred site you create, so this game still maintains replay-ability. I've been recommending this game to friends of various faiths and been getting a lot of "!!!!" reactions :D but you can totally play this game no matter your religious background. it's just a really nice way to connection to a sacred vibe, however someone might interpret that in the game or in their own lives.

(also, thank you tori for the collage supplies. that really helped! I also picked up the extra Source booklet, which had lots of creative unique options that I never would've thought of.)

thank you so much for taking the time to come back and share! I can't tell you how happy it makes me that the game was a meaningful creative experience for you!! <3
